Station Pier turns over a whole ship at once, which is why the taxi rank there is a lottery and the fixed booking is not. Cruise work is mostly a luggage problem: four to eight large cases, two to six passengers, and a boarding window that will not move. We size the vehicle to the bags rather than the headcount, and the return leg tracks the ship's actual arrival rather than its scheduled one.
